Financial Gifts
When you give to Dove Harbor, your dollars are an investment in changing the lives of the homeless women and children we serve.
As a not-for-profit organization, we rely on the generosity of individuals and organizations to fund our services and programs.
Even modest amounts make a measurable difference:
- Your gift of $1,400 provides one month´s stay for one family
- Your gift of $300 provides one month´s rent of our security system
- Your gift of $150 provides one month´s program fees for one family
- Your gift of $47 provides one day for one family
On average, housing just one family at Dove Harbor for six months requires $8,500, or about $47 a day. And because the housing program is based on Biblical and Christian values, Dove Harbor is ineligible for Federal funding.
The Harbor is able to continue its vital work for our community through the generosity of many different funding sources, including:
- 29% from individual contributions
- 18% from fund-raising events
- 42% from Madison Park Church of God
- 7% from resident fees
- 4% from supporting churches
- 1% from civic groups and businesses
Dove Harbor´s budget is audited annually by an independent accounting firm. We operate under the spiritual and financial guidance of Madison Park Church of God. Local professionals and members from various congregations form our leadership committees.
We gratefully accept individual and corporate donations as well as donations "in-honor of" or "in-memory of" someone you love. All contributions are tax deductible as allowed by law.
